This is the raw movie as we filmed it in the studio infront of the blue screen. As you can see adding music + effects can make a big difference. Hopefully after a year and a half of doing this, I'll be able to produce my own professional quality music videos, short films, etc. Exciting stuff!!

This is an example of the kind of fun we have here at TAFE. Simon Fraser my teacher filmed me pretending to be a DJ infront of a blue-screen. We then uploaded the short movie into Adobe - AfterEffects, where my other teacher Chris Jones has taught me to add effects to the movie. It's a lot of fun! :)

INTRO:

Well this is my first ever Blog. My name is Markus Matiszik, and I've been compelled to start a Blog by the requirements of my studies. I'm studying Interactive Digital Media at TAFE - Bathurst campus. The unit that requires me to start a Blog is " Develop and extend critical and creative thinking skills ", which is taught by the lovely Nicole Welch. I'm studying Interactive Digital Media to learn how to Direct, Produce, Edit + Market my own short films. Some of my fellow students are probably doing it to get a job, improve their resume, or cause they can't find anything better to do. I've always wanted to make my own movies. I'm hungry for knowledge about every facet of movie making. This is a certificate 4 course that I'm doing full-time, but my immediate goal is to do the Diploma course next year ie: 2014.
I've got 3 facebook pages, one for me, one for me + my beautiful wife Jennifer, and a third page for my whole family. This is all relatively new to me, that is the whole social media thing, but I do enjoy it a lot. I do have a google account (how can you not if you have 'android' devices),  a couple of Hotmail/live accounts, but I don't twitter. Twitter reminds me of 'twits', and I hate twits. I never thought of having a Blog until now, so please be patient with me. I will learn!
